Booking your driving theory test in the UK is a straightforward process. Follow these step-by-step instructions to book your test:

Visit the official DVSA website

Visit the official website of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) at Book theory test. This is the only official website where you can book your test.

Click on the "Start Now" button to begin the booking process.

Details

Choose the type of test you want to take, i.e., car, motorcycle, or other vehicles. Enter your personal details, including your name, address, and date of birth.

Location & Time

Choose your preferred test centre location. You can select up to three locations to increase your chances of getting a preferred date and time. Pick a date and time that suits you. You will be presented with a list of available dates and times, and you can choose the one that works best for you.

Pay the fee

Pay the test fee using a debit or credit card. The fee for a car theory test is currently £23. Once payment is confirmed, you will receive an email confirmation of your booking. You will also be sent a confirmation letter in the post, which will contain important information about your test, including the date, time, and location.
